Mohammad Reza Pahlavi

Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (October 26, 1919 – July 27, 1980) was the Shah of Iran from 1941 to 1979. He ascended to the throne following his father, Reza Shah. In 1967, he adopted the title “Shahanshah” (meaning “King of Kings”) and also held other titles such as “Aryamehr” (meaning “Light of the Aryans”) and “Bozorg Arteshtaran” (meaning “Grand Commander of the Army”). He was the second and final monarch of the Pahlavi dynasty.
